Social Groups

Our social programs for school-aged children with autism are thoughtfully designed to foster meaningful connections and skill development in a supportive group setting. By blending the specialized knowledge of speech-language pathology (SLP), psychotherapy, and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), we create engaging and dynamic sessions tailored to each child's unique needs.

Our programs emphasize the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and effective communication through a variety of interactive activities. Children will practice taking turns, following group instructions, making requests, and making choices in a nurturing environment. This program is ideal for school-aged children who want to work in a small group at the end of the school day.

Exciting new groups: Fall 2026

In the Game & Taekwondo: New Community Leisure Programs

We're excited to introduce two new community leisure programs at Elemenoe: In the Game and Taekwondo, designed to give autistic children and youth a place to build sports skills, teamwork, and confidence, all supported by our ABA team.

Learning Through Sport

Sport is more than physical activity. It's a chance to practise being part of a team, following the flow of a game, and experiencing both winning and losing in a supportive setting. In the Game and Taekwondo give autistic children and youth the opportunity to build these skills at their own pace, guided by facilitators who understand how to make participation accessible and meaningful.

In the Game

A leisure program built around group sport and play, In the Game gives kids and youth the chance to try new activities, connect with peers, and practise teamwork skills in a structured, supportive environment.

Taekwondo

Our Taekwondo program brings the structure and discipline of martial arts to a neuroaffirming, autism-friendly setting, helping participants build focus, coordination, and self-confidence one belt at a time.

Supported Every Step of the Way

Both programs are supported by Elemenoe's ABA team, so participants have the coaching and structure they need to feel confident joining in, trying something new, and being part of a team.

Client spots are filling fast.

In the Game and Taekwondo are currently full, and we're adding names to our interest list for future openings.

Volunteers needed!

We're actively recruiting volunteers to support our participants alongside staff during group sessions. If you'd like to get involved, or to join our client interest list, reach out to us at info@elemenoe.ca.
